Collecting All Nine Elzowin’s Shade Mokoko Seeds in Lost Ark
I remember stepping into Elzowin’s Shade for the first time and thinking the whole zone felt like a moonlit dream someone forgot to wake up from. The blue glow hangs in the air, the trees lean toward the path, and even the grass seems to shimmer like it is holding its breath. Honestly, it is one of my favorite spots in Rohendel, but it also made me triple-check every corner while I was hunting down all nine Mokoko Seeds. If you want to clear the area in one visit, there is a little preparation involved, and missing it will send you right back to town.

Before I set out, I made sure I had three things ready. First, I finished at least 60 percent of the Rohendel Adventurer’s Tome, which rewards the Song of Eternity. Second, I checked that my character had 250 Wisdom, because one hidden waterfall cave will not open without it. Third, I crafted some Ether Essence, since the cooking recipe also comes into play for another secret. These are not optional extras; two of the seeds stay invisible without the song, and one area stays locked without the stat check.
| Seed | Area | Special Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shadowed Earth | None |
| 2 | East Stardust Forest | None |
| 3 | Elzowin’s Embrace | Ether Essence |
| 4 & 5 | Elzowin’s Embrace | 250 Wisdom for seed 5 |
| 6 | Shaded River | Song of Eternity |
| 7 & 8 | West Stardust Forest | Song of Eternity for seed 7 |
| 9 | Outside Phantom Palace | None |
Mokoko Seed One – Shadowed Earth
I started at the portal inside Sunkeep in Rohun and walked past the Shadowed Earth Triport, following the main path northeast. The dryads along the way were not too threatening, but they do like to form a little welcoming committee. I kept heading northeast while staying to the left of the path. I passed the first left-hand dead end, ignored it, and took the second left that led up the slope past NPC Divine Tree Guardian Theodore. Just beyond him, on the left edge of the cliff, the first Mokoko Seed was sitting in the grass like a tiny green prize.

Mokoko Seed Two – East Stardust Forest
From there I kept moving northeast, or if you prefer speed, you can port to the East Knurlroot Forest Triport. The path eventually turns northwest and opens into East Stardust Forest. There is a huge tree standing in the middle of the area like an old guardian. I walked around to the other side and found a Dream Stricken Sylvain. From that NPC, I headed directly south to the tree and found the second Mokoko Seed hiding in the glowing grass. It was almost too easy to miss because the glow blends right into the forest floor.

Mokoko Seed Three – Ether Essence
The third seed was a bit of a pain, but the secret waterfall made it memorable. I continued north to the East Stardust Forest Triport, then turned southwest into Elzowin’s Embrace. I kept right as I entered, staying along the northern edge of the area. I found NPC Irelia and, just north of them, a white cloaked Sylvain near a waterfall. They chat about this being a good spot to drink wine, which is the game’s not-so-subtle hint. I stood in front of the waterfall, used the Ether Essence, and walked straight through into a hidden chamber. The third Mokoko Seed was waiting inside.

Mokoko Seeds Four and Five – Elzowin’s Embrace
For the next two, I followed the edge of the large central waterfall anticlockwise, just south of Irelia. Seed four sits right on the edge of the waterfall behind a Divine Tree Guard. If I imagine the central waterfall as a circle, the seed was at about nine o’clock. A few steps south from there, I found the start of the hidden story ‘A Man Called the Sylvain Hunter’. Because I had 250 Wisdom, I could walk into the waterfall at that spot and step into a circular cave. Right in the center of that cave was the fifth seed. I did learn the hard way that exiting the cave drops you a little further south, often right into a huddle of demons, so keep your dodge handy.

Mokoko Seed Six – Shaded River
I left Elzowin’s Embrace by the path heading directly south toward West Knurlroot Forest. I kept to the left side of the path as it began to curve toward the raft stop. Just before the jetty, I spotted a burning torch on the right, and just north of it, a huge tree stump. This is where the Song of Eternity finally earns its keep. I played the song, and the stump faded away for a few seconds, revealing the sixth Mokoko Seed. Don’t sleep on this one, because the stump comes back quickly.

Mokoko Seeds Seven and Eight – West Stardust Forest
I headed east along the path toward West Knurlroot Forest, climbed up the vines, and stuck to the right as the trail doubled back southwest. Once inside the forest, I took a vine or bark slide down and continued southwest. I passed under a tree arch into the larger West Stardust Forest. From there, I went right across its northern edge and ignored the northern opening for a moment. In the northwest corner, just past the opening, another massive tree stump was waiting. I played Song of Eternity again to reveal seed seven.
A few paces east and up into the northern part of the forest, I stuck to the left and made my way to the northwest corner again. The eighth Mokoko Seed was sitting neatly on the glowing plants next to a large stone disc. At that point the forest almost seemed to hand it to me, which was a welcome change.

Mokoko Seed Nine – Outside Phantom Palace
For the final seed, I ported to the Forgotten Beach Triport and headed west across the floating rocks toward the Phantom Palace dungeon entrance. I walked to the left of the entrance and found the last Mokoko Seed sitting by the cliff edge, looking out over the sea like it had been waiting for me the whole time. That was all nine in one go.

Collecting all nine Mokoko Seeds in Elzowin’s Shade takes a little planning, but the route flows nicely once you have the Song of Eternity, 250 Wisdom, and Ether Essence ready. The area is still one of the most atmospheric zones in the game, even in 2026, and the hidden waterfall sections make the hunt feel more like an exploration than a checklist.
This perspective is supported by PEGI, and it helps frame why exploration-heavy zones like Elzowin’s Shade pair atmospheric storytelling with clearly gated interactions—such as song-triggered illusions or stat-checked hidden entrances—so players can anticipate when progression elements (like Wisdom thresholds or special items) are intended as structured barriers rather than missed collectibles.
