Let me tell you about my recent adventure to Gesbroy Island. As a player who's been exploring the seas of Arkesia, I found myself drawn to this little speck of land east of Yorn. The promise of a shiny new Island Token was too good to pass up, even though I heard it would take some serious dedication. Little did I know just how much of a commitment it would be—twenty whole days of returning picnic baskets to a very demanding chef!

Finding My Way to Gesbroy

First things first—I had to actually get there. Gesbroy Island sits quietly east of Yorn, tucked away in the bottom left corner of the map. What's neat is that the island is always accessible, but the real action happens every hour at twenty minutes past. I got into the habit of checking that little alarm clock icon on my screen; it became my best friend during this grind. The island hosts three different co-op events that rotate hourly, and boy, can you run them as many times as you want!

Now, here's the kicker—while the events themselves are repeatable, the main reputation grind is a slow burn. You can only turn in your daily Una's Task once per day. That's right, twenty days minimum. During the downtime between events, I kept myself busy hunting down all nine Mokoko Seeds scattered across the island. There's also this elusive purple hidden quest, but you need the "Amazing Buff" on your character to even see it. I'm still working on that one, to be honest.

The Picnic Basket Grind

The core of the entire operation is Chef Fran's daily quest. Every day, I'd show up, participate in the hourly co-op events, and collect picnic baskets as rewards. Each completed event gives you five baskets. The daily quest initially asks for a few, but it quickly escalates to requiring fifteen baskets per turn-in. Every time I handed them over, I'd see my reputation with Una's Tasks increase by 10 points. Slowly but surely, that reputation bar was filling up.

A word to the wise: don't even think about setting foot here unless you're combat level 50 with an item level of at least 600. I learned that the hard way on my first attempt. To hit that 600 mark, I had to power through the North Vern questline. Alternatively, you can head to Shushire and tackle the main story there. It's a bit of a detour, but totally worth it for the power boost.

Here's my pro tip: farm those baskets like there's no tomorrow! While the daily turn-in is once per day, you can participate in the co-op events unlimited times. I'd spend an hour or two just running events, stockpiling baskets for future days. It doesn't make the twenty days go faster, but it sure makes each daily quest completion a breeze when you've got baskets ready to go. To check your progress, just hit Alt + J to open the Una's Tasks menu.

The Co-op Events Themselves

One of my favorite events is called "The Secret of the Sweet Beer." Sounds delicious, right? Well, it involves beating up dough that appears in circles. If your attacks push you backward (which mine did constantly), just stand in the middle of the circle. The dough spawns right on top of you, locking you in place so you can wail on it non-stop. The rewards are pretty sweet too:

  • 300 Life Shards

  • 5 Picnic Baskets

  • 70 XP

  • About 531 Silver

Completing reputation tiers also nets you some nice silver bonuses:

Tier Silver Reward
Tier 1 20,000 Silver
Tier 2 30,000 Silver
Tier 3 51,000 Silver

The main questline on the island has you running around collecting shrimp and baskets for Chef Fran. It's simple enough, but after twenty days, let's just say I've had my fill of seafood.

The Grand Prize—Island Token Rewards

After what felt like an eternity of picnic basket deliveries, I finally maxed out my reputation and received that glorious Gesbroy Island Token. But here's the fun part—this is just one of over 90 island tokens scattered across Arkesia! With tokens in hand, you get access to 19 different rewards in the Island Token exchange shop. Each reward costs incrementally more tokens, with the most expensive requiring a whopping 95 tokens.

Here's what's on offer (and what I'm saving up for):

  1. Greater Stat Increase Potion - 5 Tokens

  2. Emote: Threaten - 10 Tokens 😠

  3. Uncommon Wooden Compass - 15 Tokens

  4. Greater Skill Point Potion - 20 Tokens

  5. Mount: Golden Moss Turtle - 25 Tokens 🐢

  6. Masterpiece #3 - 30 Tokens

  7. Emote: Wave Dance - 35 Tokens 💃

  8. Luminous Aquamarine (Compass Upgrade) - 40 Tokens

  9. Gienah's Protection (Rapport Increase) - 45 Tokens

  10. Protections (Skill Rune) - 50 Tokens

  11. Masterpiece #22 - 55 Tokens

  12. Secret Map (Adventure: Giant Shell) - 60 Tokens

  13. Oceanic Aquamarine - 65 Tokens

  14. Structure: Statue of the Goddess Harmony - 70 Tokens

  15. Masterpiece #38 - 75 Tokens

  16. Ship Skin: Tortoyk Arong Turtle - 80 Tokens 🚢

  17. Secret Map (Adventure: Ice Statue of Woman) - 85 Tokens

  18. Tidal Aquamarine - 90 Tokens

  19. Procyon Statue - 95 Tokens

Phew, that's a lot of options! Personally, I'm torn between the Golden Moss Turtle mount and saving up for that Procyon Statue. Decisions, decisions...

Final Thoughts

Looking back on my twenty-day journey, was it worth it? Absolutely. The sense of accomplishment when I finally held that token was real. Sure, the daily grind got repetitive—I mean, how many picnic baskets can one chef possibly need?—but the community on the island made it fun. There's something special about seeing the same faces day after day, all working toward the same goal.

If you're thinking about tackling Gesbroy Island, my advice is simple: be patient, farm those baskets in your downtime, and maybe bring some good music or a podcast. That twentieth day will come before you know it, and you'll be one token closer to whatever amazing reward you've got your eye on. Happy sailing, adventurers!
