Phantom Palace Mokoko Seed Locations in Lost Ark

The Phantom Palace in Lost Ark has always felt like a twisted dream pulled from an old storybook. Hallways warp underfoot, stone chess pieces snap to life, and mirrors swallow unwary adventurers. Among all that chaos, seven Mokoko Seeds wait in corners, behind breakable rocks, and even inside a secret room that demands extreme patience. Collectors revisiting the dungeon in 2026 will find that most of the seeds are easy to scoop up, while the sixth seed remains one of the more punishing scavenger hunts in the game.

There are three main things to remember before stepping through the palace gates. First, the Phantom Palace contains seven Mokoko Seeds spread from the garden to the final audience chamber. Second, six of those seeds can be collected without much trouble if explorers know where to look. Third, the elusive sixth seed is locked behind two timed buffs that only appear during Hard mode fights against the Rook and Queen.

Before the Sixth Seed: Two Buffs Are Mandatory

The sixth Mokoko Seed is different from the others because it cannot be reached by walking down a hidden corridor or breaking a wall. An adventurer must first collect two separate buffs during the same dungeon run, and both buffs only exist when fighting the Rook and Queen sub-bosses on Hard mode.

The Rook buff sits somewhere around the edge of the platform where the Rook is fought. The problem is that it must be activated within one minute of the fight starting, even though the glowing marker may remain visible later. The Rook attacks aggressively from the very beginning, and taking a hit while trying to activate the buff resets the process. Many players distract the Rook with a Scarecrow or use freeze, slow, or stealth tools to buy enough time to locate and click the buff without being interrupted.

The Queen buff appears during the mirror phase. While the Queen casts purple wave attacks from a circular glow in the middle of the room, mirrors rise along the sides. Inside the large purple circle there is a smaller circle that grants the Whisper of Phantoms buff. The trick is to click it shortly after being hit by a wave, because incoming damage interrupts the slow activation. Surviving that burst of damage is unpleasant, but the reward is one half of the key needed for the sixth seed.

Both buffs last for one hour, so there is no reason to panic after acquiring them. However, leaving the dungeon erases the buffs, which means a collector must obtain both in a single run if they want to unlock the hidden path.

Mokoko Seed One – The Palace Garden

After entering the garden, adventurers should work their way northwest. The third set of jumps leads to a tilted walkway beside a spinning circular statue. Once the last gargoyles are defeated, a breakable rock sits on the right side just as the player lands on this section. Behind that rock is the first Mokoko Seed.

Mokoko Seeds Two And Three – The Chess Chamber

From the garden, continue across the remaining jumps and head north into the Phantom Palace proper. Approaching the giant chessboard reveals a fork. Taking the left fork into the northwest corridor eventually leads to the second Mokoko Seed, which sits in plain sight on the ground near oversized chess pieces after the enemies have been cleared.

The third seed is a little more hidden. Returning to the fork and heading northeast brings explorers to a room with a curtain. Behind that curtain is a southeast-facing passage that leaves the visible map. At the end stands a Scared Gargoyle beside a plinth with a red glow. To the southwest, against the railing and partly covered by red bushes, is the third Mokoko Seed.

Mokoko Seed Four – Phantom Castle Wall

After solving the first chess puzzle, a portal sends adventurers onto a walkway filled with falling obstacles. The path turns left through a second portcullis. Near the top of the stairs, the mini map makes it look as if the route is heading north. A gnarled dead tree stands on the right, and just past it is the top of a set of broken stairs leading downward. The fourth Mokoko Seed waits at the top of those stairs.

Mokoko Seed Five – The Mirror Room

Back on the chessboard, adventurers need to complete the next puzzle and defeat the Knight in the Phantom Arena. After finishing the third chess puzzle, they should return through the northeast portal into the Mirror Room. Walking down the steps and moving to the mirrors on the left reveals that the right-hand mirror can be activated. It opens a secret chamber, and inside by the window sits the fifth Mokoko Seed.

Mokoko Seed Six – Phantom Leader Bishop

This section only works if both Rook and Queen buffs were collected earlier in the same run. After obtaining those buffs, adventurers should go back to the now broken chessboard. A portal opens directly north of the board, up a flight of stairs, with square stone plinths at the bottom on each side.

When both buffs are active, icons appear above these plinths as players approach. Activating them starts another chess puzzle quest. Completing that puzzle allows passage up the stairs on the left side of the chessboard. From there, the path continues until the Bishop is defeated. After the fight, a secret area lies on the east side of the room, reachable by walking off the map through the wall. Inside, the sixth Mokoko Seed finally appears.

Mokoko Seed Seven – Beneath The Tree

The last seed comes after the final major challenge. Heading north through the final portal leads into the King’s Audience Chamber and deeper into the heart of the palace. Once Phantom Legion Commander Brelshaza falls, adventurers move beyond Azena to the northeast and climb the stairs to a circular platform. The seventh Mokoko Seed hides beneath the leaves of the tree, on the north side of the trunk.

With all seven seeds collected, the Phantom Palace finally stops whispering its secrets. The journey is strange, dangerous, and occasionally infuriating, especially for anyone chasing the sixth seed on Hard mode. Still, the mix of hidden passages, living chess pieces, and mirror traps makes this one of Lost Ark’s most memorable collection dungeons.
